Sofola: Your Overall Assessment on Governor Sanwo-Olu’s Performance in 600 days in Office*

Sofola: Your Overall Assessment on Governor Sanwo-Olu’s Performance in 600 days in Office
Mr. Governor has done exceedingly well in Lagos State, because he came on board as a technocrat that has distinguished himself tested and trusted. Coming into politics, he has adjusted very well and brought the experience gathered at the private sector into the public sector.
For my own remark and observations, Mr. Governor has taken a lot of steps to address the challenges of bad roads in the State and ease the  movement across the State, as he is working with multi-corporations and International construction companies. So, the 4th Mainland bridge is very noteworthy of what the Governor is embarking upon.

Similarly, the Badagry road which is currently being worked on by this present administration is a milestone and will solve a lot of issues for transporters in the State. Another notable project of this administration is the commission of 110 bed facilities in Maternal Child Care MCC, Ajah and also being able to fund public schools across the State for rehabilitations and renovations.
It is also important to note that State Skills Acquisition Centers  and Primary Health Cares have being upgraded by the Governor. The Commissioning of 492 flats in Housing Estate, Igando and several other places is also part of a promise made and fulfilled by this administration. So, housing estate apart from roads has been a recurring decimal in the Governor’s agenda.

In like minds, the launching of the Lagferry is a major plus to The Governor’s achievements and will be a posterity to the State. In terms of Security, He is strengthening the capacity of the State to respond to security breaches through the Lagos State Security Trust Fund. Not forgetting, the Adiyan Water works and Imota Rice Mill because importation of rice has become the deal in this country, so, with the Imota Rice Mill we can empower our farms and process rice for consumption and subsequently for importation too.
Naturally, we can also look at the State Health Insurance Scheme which is extending services to more than one million residents by giving them affordable health care.

For example, in Kosofe Local Government, the Governor has done a lot for us. Just at the back of the council, he has brought a road coming from Alapere Ketu crossing all the way, going all the way behind the local government coming out of Ogudu.
With this road and other similar roads in the State, time spent on transportation, cost and manpower will be effectively saved.

This administration has also excelled in terms of Public-Private Partnership and a notable one is the establishment of the National ** Research Institute in collaboration with the Federal Government is noteworthy.

At the end of it all, the THEMES developmental agenda is being realized by the Governor. Hence, if we are having Schemes like this for our citizens, it means we are adding value to life and this depicts that a Nigerian has value.

On this note, having worked with three Governors of the State from Former Governor Ahmed Tinubu, Former Governor Babatunde Raji Fashola, Former Governor Akinwunmi Ambode and now working with the Present Governor Babajide Sanwo-Olu and I have seen the trend, so in my opinion the Governor has done exceedingly well, even his management of the EndSars Protest is highly commendable. He is a man of the people and deserves commendations and several accolades.

*Your Opinion on the flag-off of 377 projects across the State*

This is not unexpected, like I said earlier on, the Governor is doing exceedingly well. In my local government for example, three of my councillors have completed their projects, as one of them contacted me for commissioning of some bore holes that’s are concluded and ready for public use. This is the motive of the Governor to bring rapid development and growth to the various communities in Lagos State.
Apart from this, the Governor once requested each Local government Chairman for a road to be fixed and I gave Bush street in Kosofe which was very bad at that time and was immediately fixed from the beginning to the end.
It is obvious this administration is not just talk and no action, Sanwo-Olu is a talking and acting Governor. So his impact is very well felt in Kosofe and across the State.
