The Body Language of Nigerian Presidency Before Election Showed No Support for Tinubu
Was there any directive from the Presidency demanding that everyone working under the President should work for the success of APC? The answer is a Capital NO.
The attitude of the presidency was that they were all free to vote for a candidate of their choice. No single serving minister attended any of Tinubu's rallies, even in their home states.
No federal government appointee attended his rallies. None campaigned for him. No Senator, no federal rep in the entire south east attended his rallies. Even APC exco members in the south east feigned party disputes to stay away from his rallies in their home states.
Afenifere leaderships in his own zone openly adopted his opponent. They went further to attend Obi's rallies in the south east where they openly endorsed Obi and even threatened fire and brimstone if Obi did not win.
He was the most attacked and maligned of all the candidates in the history of elections in this country. They accused him of drug trafficking without a single indictment for drug related offences.
Because of a single individual, the whole nation was made to suffer an unprecedented act of inhumanity with the withdrawal of cash from the economy leading to pains, agonies, and deaths. They withdrew fuel supply from circulation. All of these, few days to a general elections.
Ngige fought ASUU and rejected all peace overtures for settlement thereby ensuring that students were kept at home for 9 months. He openly admitted before the elections that he wasn't going to campaign for any candidate, yet, his party was in the contest.
The Ministry of education then ensured that
all the federal universities were closed down and students sent home to go and vote. Was it to go and vote for or against the APC that kept them at home for 9 months?
Despite all of these, the man won!!!
I pity those who are bitter about the emergence of Tinubu as president. I tell you and whoever bothers to listen that they are challenging God and may end up being consumed. I can swear by the name of Almighty God that regrets awaits them. I am neither a pastor nor a prophet but I know it when it's of the Lord's. It's as clear as the sky.
